Meet Imhotion
We are a film studio based in the Canary Islands and Belgium, specialized in 3D Visual Effects and the production of movies, commercials and music videos.
The company is led by Imhotep Vandeputte. Having received several filmmaking awards following his education at the Academy of Arts in Bruges, Belgium, he has an impressive record of nine years in the film industry and began his journey at the age of 12.
Our Gear
The brain of our camera gear is the famous Sony FX6, we use it in combination with Nisi Athena and Laowa cine lenses to allow the true quality of this camera to be sharpened. The compact lightweight body also allows us to use stabilizers like the Dji RS 4 Pro.
In an innovative era with drones, our team has specialized in FPV drone piloting. In this one, we use the Dji FPV drone to capture images from perspectives that only a bird could imagine. We also have other drones such as the Dji Mavic 2 for more static visuals.
Powered by the M1 Max chip from Apple's Macbook Pro, today we have access to edit the most complex imagery from any location. This means projects on tight deadlines can be finished faster than ever.
The software we use
The Adobe family has always been our favorite software package for editing videos and photos. All the apps work smoothly with each other, providing a variety of apps that blows away the competition. For color grading, we prefer to run DaVinci Resolve, which completes the collaboration for making film productions.
VFX and 3D animation are a big part of our film studio, for these we have brought together an ideal packet of 3 apps with a great community. These are Blender for modeling and animation, Substance Painter for texturing and Unreal Engine 5 for real-time productions and game trailers.
